A woman who bought a 2025 Volkswagen Atlas in February this year reported that she is experiencing problems with her infotainment system.

Brittany posted a video on her TikTok profile to show the issue. At the beginning, everything seems to work fine as she uses Apple CarPlay to access Google Maps while driving.

After a few seconds, the clip shows how the screen suddenly goes completely black. “Hello? What’s happening?” she exclaimed while demonstrating the screen malfunction.

“It’s a new car,” Brittany emphasized just before reading a warning message that appeared on the car’s dashboard. The message seems to indicate that some features are “currently unavailable.”

Then Brittany taps the screen multiple times, but nothing happens. Only afterward does she realize she cannot even turn on the car’s air conditioning, because the controls are on the touchscreen.

“Um, hello? I can’t change… oh my God. No way!” she said in the footage while continuing to drive. The video then cuts to the screen turning on again, showing the Volkswagen logo, but it quickly shuts off once more.

In the video caption, which has already gathered over 300,000 views, Brittany expresses her frustration with the car and mentions that she had documented the issue on two consecutive days.

Apparently, Brittany’s Atlas is not the first to experience this problem. In a 2024 report by Autopian, it was noted that several Atlas drivers had issues with their infotainment systems.

Meanwhile, a Volkswagen Jetta driver posted a video on YouTube to report a similar occurrence. According to him, the screen’s “user interface and entertainment system” “went completely blank.”

However, he offered a solution for other drivers facing the same issue. In the clip, he performed a system reset by holding down the power button for 10 seconds. When the screen turned on again, it requested a USB cable to be inserted, which should resolve the problem.
